Summary

This order creates the Commission on Workers, Communities, and Economic Change in the New Economy to study economic dislocation and how workers and communities adjust.

Up to 14 people will be appointed by the President, including state and local workforce or community development officials, economists, labor and business representatives, and Members of Congress; the President will designate a Chair.

The Commission will examine trade, technology, globalization, training, income support, and public-private partnerships and must report findings and recommendations to the President and Congress within 12 months of its first meeting.
