Summary

This order creates a White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy within the Department of Health and Human Services. The Commission will have up to 15 presidential appointees, a presidentially chosen Chair, and an Executive Director appointed by the Secretary.

The panel must study and report on education, coordinated research, reliable public and professional information, and appropriate access and delivery of complementary and alternative medicine. The Department will fund and support the Commission, which expires after two years unless extended.
