Summary

This order cancels a prior rule that required companies taking over public building contracts to offer current workers a first chance at rehire. It revokes Executive Order 12933 and ends that worker preference.

The Labor Department, the federal procurement council, and agency heads are told to quickly withdraw any rules, policies, or guidance that applied the old order, to the extent allowed by law. The Labor Department must also stop any investigations or compliance actions based on the revoked order, effective immediately.
